Top Trimz Dog Grooming was established in 2004, after many years of preparing dogs for high-level competition.  In 2013 it became a Dog grooming training school and has trained students all over the country who have went on to run their own very successful dog grooming businesses.

Top Trimz offers tuition to complete beginners with the ambition to start their professional grooming career.  Groomers with experience can also attend Top Trimz to achieve the City & Guilds Level 2 & Level 3 qualification.

We were the first grooming business in County Durham to achieve the new Quality Assurance Standard for Groomers. Designed to help cat and dog owners find a reputable groomer.

ABOUT OUR TUTOR

 Marie has completed the Level 3 Professional Advanced Certificate in dog grooming and is one of only approximately 28 groomers in the UK to have achieved the British dog groomers higher diploma (The highest UK Grooming qualification).   As well as that, Marie holds the level 3 award in preparing to teach in the lifelong learning sector & is a qualified assessor.

Marie is very successful on the dog show scene & is known all over the world for her achievements exhibiting her West Highland White Terriers.    She is more famously known for winning Best in the Show at Crufts in 2016, with her West Highland White Terrier ’Devon’ (Champion Burneze Geordie Girl).
